In 1988, at the age of 18, I graduated as fitness instructor at Friskis&Svettis Stockholm, today Sweden’s largest sport association. High level of exercise has always had a central part in my life; both from more than 20 years experience as a fitness instructor, but also by performing quality assessment to support other fitness instructors.

Over the years I have come across many people believing they are supposed to eat less and exercise more, to decrease body fat and stay fit. However, this old conventional approach – to eat less and exercise more – has been used for decades but is clearly not working well enough looking at today’s increase in obesity.

In March 2012 when I first heard about LCHF, I could hardly believe you can eat and enjoy as much real food as you like – and still improve your health and weight. It sounded too good to be true; there is no counting calories or measuring of food, no pills or freaky ‘meal replacements’. The method is just real food and common sense, supported by years of human evolution and modern science, proofing it work.

I gave LCHF a try; in six weeks time I lost 2 stones and 3 lb (approx 14 kg). I’ve maintained my new weight and I enjoy my LCHF lifestyle ever since I started. Hopefully my positive experiences can encourage others to a joyful journey in natural weight loss without hunger.
