The Telegraph highlights that the old and stagnated “fat is bad” studies were based on poor science. This is good reading. Unfortunately commercial food manufacturers have used this in their marketing for decades selling high sugar, low fat products which I would not even call food and which I believe to be a major cause of today’s obesity and diabetes.
It is interesting that Sweden is mentioned in the comments for its widespread LCHF diet. I think what they refer to is the report from SBU (Swedish Council on Health Technology Assessment) where a Swedish expert committee published their expert inquiry Dietary Treatment for Obesity, which I have covered in a previous post.
