If you choose a not too strict LCHF lifestyle, raw berries are ok in moderation with not too much carbohydrates. The percentage of carbohydrates in food is often provided on the products’ package labels. This of course doesn’t always apply on loose groceries. Good to bare in mind is to keep a maximum of 5% of carbohydrate per 100 grams of food. Generally, raw berries varies in carbohydrates between approx 4-8% per 100 grams of berries. Stay away from any type of processed berries.
A bowl of raw berries is ideal as a delicious snack after dinner, every now and then. Good to combine the berries with full-fat cream. Allowing yourself a bit more carbohydrates you can add some chopped, dark chocolate with a high percentage of cacao. I always go for a dark chocolate with 70%-90% of cacao. This is not really part of the basic LCHF food but as the volumes are rather small, I feel it works well for me every now and then.
